The City of Plattenhardt honored Jakob Brodbeck by naming a street for him.
The City of Plattenhardt dedicated a monument on October 13, 1996, the 175th anniversary of his birth, to honor its native son, Jacob Brodbeck, for his Aviation Achievement. Standing beside the monument one of Jacob and Christine's proud great-great-granddaughters, Krystal Brodbeck.
